If you booked accommodation with your registration for the April conference, this was cancelled when the conference was postponed. Please contact us if you need to secure accommodation -

Accommodation changes

Email with your requested amendment, and she will soon be in touch with you confirming your change. If you have not booked accommodation via Conference Innovators (conference website) you should contact the hotel directly to advise them. Note that cancellation fees usually apply for last minute changes or cancellations within 30 days.

Cancellation Policy

Should you need to cancel your registration, you may reassign your registration to another person. Please notify in writing. If you are unable to arrange a replacement, please note our policy: Cancellation fee of $200 will be charged for any cancellations from Monday 13 July. No refund will be given after Monday 3 August, except at the discretion of the Organising Committee. Refunds will be notified and processed within one month following the Conference.

If, through no fault of their own, the conference is cancelled or deferred, the organisers will not be liable for any expenses incurred by you relating to your attendance and will refund money paid after deduction of reasonable expenses.

In the event of industrial disruption or other unforeseen circumstances, the conference organisers: NZIWR and Conference Innovators, Christchurch Town Hall, VBase, Multi Media, Exhibition Hire, Cordis Auckland accept no responsibility for loss of monies incurred. The suppliers above accept no liability for injuries/losses of whatever nature incurred by delegates and/or accompanying persons, nor for loss or damage to their luggage and/or personal belongings. Delegates, sponsors and speakers should make their own arrangements with respect to personal insurance.

The organisers reserve the right to alter the programme, withdraw, replace or cancel speakers without notification to registered delegates.

The closest public car park is the Wilson Car Park located at the rear of the hotel off Liverpool Street for guests’ convenience. You can check parking rates and other options here.

There is no onsite parking at the Christchurch Town Hall, however there are several public car parks you can view a carpark map here. There is a drop off zone in front of the building on Kilmore Street.

Session only, half day and one day options are not available.

Payment Policy

Payment is due within 30 days of the invoice date or prior to conference (whichever is first). Existing invoices (registrations prior to Covid postponement) are due Friday 31 July. ALL payments are expected prior to conference.

Programme changes

The committee reserves the right to alter the programme, withdraw, replace or cancel speakers without notification to registered delegates. This website will be updated.


Auckland conference will be held at Cordis Auckland, 83 Symonds Street
Christchurch conference and workshop will be held at Christchurch Town Hall, 86 Kilmore Street

Conference facilities are on the ground floor at Cordis Auckland.

Hearing loop

Christchurch Town Hall has hearing loop facilities in the Douglas Lilburn Auditorium and James Hay Theatre. For special seating requirements such as hearing difficulties or impaired mobility please contact Ticketek on 0800 842 538.

Wheelchair access

The Christchurch Town Hall is wheelchair accessible and has wheelchair allocated seating in both the Douglas Lilburn Auditorium and James Hay Theatre. For wheelchair seating and inquiries, please call Ticketek on 0800 686 67. We have wheelchairs available for guests - contact to request a wheelchair.

Guest access

We have lift access for Guests to the Gallery Level of the Auditorium and the Mezzanine Level of the James Hay Theatre. Circle Level access in the James Hay is by stair access only.
